IN LAW - Why Is God Different In The Old Testament vs New Testament?

Episode Contributor
Clay Enlow

Why does God seem so different in the Old Testament and New Testament? In the OT, God seems kind of angry and harsh, telling the Israelites to wipe out entire nations, seemingly allowing things like adultery and slavery, and generally sounding much more violent. In the NT, Jesus seems completely the opposite of this. He's gentle, meek, mild. How do we reconcile these two realities? Did God change? Are we missing something? Johnny wrestled with this question a lot himself growing up, and gives the answer that ties it all together in a way you probably haven't heard before.
