In the area of culture referred to as MEDIA (how life is reported), we see God as COMMUNICATOR, the color RED. He is LOVE displayed as BLESSING. This is the blessing that comes to our hearts and our nations when love is communicated. Just as words spoken over us as individuals affect our personal identity, words spoken through media outlets also affect the identity of a city or nation. Media can be a tool to receive the blessing of knowing that we fit into a good plan of a good God, even when immediate circumstances tempt us to believe that we are victims of random circumstances apart from the sovereignty of God. Media that blesses presents truth through a hopeful perspective that gives the listener the ability to envision a happy ending, even when it’s news that is difficult to hear.
Satan uses the principality APOLLYON (DESTROYER) and the demonic strategy of the HITTITES (TERROR and FEAR) to distort the truth of who God is. God has given us a mighty archangel, GABRIEL, to fight for those called to this mountain.
The LIE being perpetuated about God in the current MEDIA OUTLETS is: GOD DOESN’T HAVE A GOOD PLAN FOR US.
The TRUTH that we will learn to display in MEDIA is: GOD DOES HAVE A GOOD PLAN FOR US.
The Face of God as Communicator on the Mountain of Media
God loves with His words and with the way He communicates. When we look at who God is as Communicator, we see that everything He’s about has to do with good news and good reports presented in the context of uplifting, restorative, redemptive, and relational conversation that’s rooted in hope — even when the facts may be difficult to hear. Even when God corrects, He always reveals a way out and a hopeful end. When He requires repentance, He contextualizes it in the promise of a good outcome, either in this life or for eternity.
All communication started within the heart of a God who communicates. It shouldn’t surprise us that communication is accelerating on earth because it is sourced from God Himself, who is alive, advancing, and always pursuing authentic intimacy with every human heart. True intimacy requires trust, speaking and listening, hearing and being heard, understanding and being understood. God created us so we could not only be known by Him, but also know Him. We have the opportunity to truly know Him because He is a God who is constantly communicating with us if we have the hunger and ability to recognize how He is speaking to us.
Communication, like all other aspects of who God is, cannot be separated from the essence of who He is — love personified. Love saw the end before time began, and evidently the end makes the ups and downs of history worth it all. There simply must be a very happy ending to what He started. A good God will make sure of it.
Can you imagine the Creator who looked at each part of His creation and said, “It is good!” being a God who allows His creation to just fizzle out? Would He leave us, the object of His affection, to think He had a lousy plan? Not this God. Not a God who is good and wants us to know His goodness — a Papa who wants His children to know His heart for them.
Ultimately, communication that has any value happens in the context of God’s master plan — a plan that definitely has a happy ending that was intentionally designed, from beginning to end, out of His great love for us.
God as communicator is the aspect of Himself that speaks as one who already knows the happy ending. God as communicator will always speak the whole truth to us motivated out of love for us. His words, how and what He communicates, are always full of life, hope, possibility, and the perspective that whatever we are going through can be overcome and can end with us growing in our understanding of Him.
How do you know when it’s God that’s communicating with you? You know because God’s communication leaves you feeling like there is something greater that you are being prepared for that makes all that you are going through worthwhile.
The Color Red on the Mountain of Media
Red is the color connected to the Mountain of Media because it typically makes us think of stop signs and yield signs, red traffic lights, special alerts, and breaking news — which all signal a need to pay attention because something important is being communicated.
In chromotherapy, the study and science of healing through colors, it has been identified that the color red may benefit the circulatory and nervous system. Bad news can potentially bring fear and stress that affects our nerves and heart by raising blood pressure. Conversely, news that carries hope can be a factor in protecting and healing our nervous and circulatory systems.
