Deconstruction is the word of the day...and honestly, we get it. Scandals are rocking the church right now, and they're causing a lot of people to question everything. In this episode, we walk through how to actually think about the abuses, the scandals, healing, skepticism, and trust BIBLICALLY. If you're not sure you can ever trust the church again, OR you'd rather "judge not"...this one is for you.

Of course there are many debates about the End Times and what the Great Tribulation will be like. But we don’t have to wonder or be confused because it’s very clear in the Book of Enoch and confirmed by David throughout Psalms—good will triumph over evil! God is not only the source of all love, but is love itself. Because we are made in His image, we too were meant to express love the way He does, as described in the Love Chapter--1 Corinthians 13. This familiar passage, "Love is patient, love is kind..." was never about us trying harder so we could simply be a more loving person. Elizabeth brings fresh perspective of the kind of love God pours through us when we allow Him to rewire our way of thinking that leads to new ways of acting. I CHOOSE LOVE: Truth Statement Today is another day full of opportunities to know the real You and to make the real You known, to learn to be loved and to love. Today I will care for Your heart because You care for mine. Today I will love You well. I will love myself well, my family and others well. I will choose love over all else and I fully realize it will be costly to do so. (1 Corinthians 13) Today I choose to be patient, to be kind, not to be envious of anyone, and not to boast about myself or what I’ve done. I reject pride in myself and choose humility. Today I will love by not dishonoring anyone. (Love does not behave rudely.) I cannot possibly truly love while looking out for myself, so I leave that up to You. (Love does not seek its own.) I refuse to be known as one who gets angry easily. (Love is not provoked.) Today when someone wrongs me I will forgive and forget. I refuse to enjoy talking about what is wrong, but I will celebrate what is right and true. (Love rejoices in the truth.) I will always choose to protect rather than uncover or attack. I will always trust and assume the best instead of being suspicious or assuming the worst. (Love bears all things and believes all things.) The radical love I choose today will never allow me the luxury of anything less than a hopeful perspective of You or myself, my family or friends, or the world. (Love hopes all things.) I will relentlessly, without a moment or day off, continue in this kind of love — excluding no one, no matter who they are and no matter how I’ve been treated by them. (Love endures all things.) Today I cannot fail because today I choose the kind of love that always brings true success and true life. (Love never fails.) I am not a child so I refuse to talk, think, or debate like a child. (When I was a child I spoke as a child, understood, and thought as a child.) Today I live with the awareness that I will soon see You face to face and will know You as intimately as You know me, therefore I’ll act like the adult that I am and focus on what I will take with me into eternity: (Now remain faith, hope, and love.) ~ my growing ability to believe in what I cannot yet see ~ my growing ability to filter everything through the understanding that Your heart towards me is always good ~ my growing ability to choose to be extravagant with the love that You have given to me But my favorite will forever be, getting and giving this crazy love! (The greatest of these is love.) The truth is, even if I never show another person this kind of love, I will have full access to it myself. Because of its very definition I can do nothing to earn it, therefore I won’t require others to either. It is my privilege to choose daily to give this true love freely as it has been given freely to me. I refuse to be motivated by obligation, burden, or need to perform for You, but will be solely motivated by our very real love affair that can never be diminished or stolen from me. Today wherever my voice is heard and my influence is felt, let it resound with love!

We are talking DECONSTRUCTION today, and you might be surprised by our take. Is deconstruction always a bad thing? Can we actually trust the Bible, anyway? What if you were raised with a spirit of religiosity that was dialed up to 10 on everything? This is an important topic for our generation and eternity is on the line...we have to get this right. Watch this if you're questioning your faith or even just want better answers than the ones you've been given.

There are 10 typical lies we tend to believe that directly impact our ability to trust God with every aspect of our hearts and lives. Did you know that we will never really rely on and partner with someone we don't trust? If the goal is to partner with God in all things, knowing that He is our best source of wisdom and knowledge, then we must intentionally destroy the lies that we have believed that undermine trust. I TRUST YOU: Truth Statement I will not allow my trust in You to be stolen anymore. I understand that the reality of who You are, is not limited to circumstances and situations I have been through or will go through or will watch others go through. I know You are good because You showed me through Jesus. I can taste and see that You are good in the spirit realm, which is more real than my perceptions in this earthly realm. I am not alone and never have been, even when I felt like I was. You are good even when I don’t feel like You are. You are good even if I can’t see it at the moment or in past memories, therefore I will trust You. I am ok with the contradiction and mystery that is a part of my relationship with You. I still want to be close to You. Because I can trust You, I want to be near You and I want You near me. Because I trust You, I feel comfortable in Your presence and I can be myself and easily express what I am feeling when I am with You. I trust You and therefore I will go to You often as the Source of everything I need. I am ok with being utterly dependent on You. Because You are good I can interact with You easily and confidently. I can put my confidence in You no matter what my perceptions of You have been. I want Your influence in everything I do, in all that I am, and in every choice I make. Even when I cannot see or understand where and what You are doing, I trust Your character and nature, Your motives, and Your abilities, more than I do my own. I give You complete access to all that I have and do because Your ways are better than mine. What’s mine, is Yours. I can rejoice over what I see You doing with others because I trust what You are doing with me and all that concerns me. I don’t need to feel overwhelmed because I am not alone and I don’t carry my responsibilities or concerns alone. I can be full of joy because You are using everything in my life that I have been through and will go through to work together for my good. My good is to know Your true heart towards me and to grow in the knowledge of who You really are, not who I have assumed You are. I can trust You because You are good. My body can let go of the physical symptoms I have had from not being able to trust You because I have now resolved that it is ok for me to trust You. I give myself permission to pursue true deep intimacy with You because I trust You. All You have ever wanted was intimacy with me — for me to know You like You know me. I will know You every day, through every situation. I am growing in the knowledge of You and intimacy with You and nothing can ever take that away, so whatever I am going through is worth it! I live... to know the real You, to make the real You known, to learn to be loved by You, and to learn to love like You.

It is within our soul where we must learn to be tethered to the heart of God and all that He is, in order to maintain peace in the midst of life's distractions, pain, and chaos.
